Add some uniqueness to your firewheel with these ideas!

This one is easy!
Just get some abrasive cleaner for household use and rub it all over to take off the shine.
Best to take your Firewheel apart first. Just remove the screw holding the wheel in, spread the arms, and pop the wheel out, followed by the trigger.
The Night Commando gives the "meanest" looking result. |

There is a lot more work in this one, but the result is worth the effort.
The camo pattern is done with a crude thick plastic paint made by dissolving pieces of the same ABS plastic that the body of the Firewheel is made from, in the same solvents that are used for welding ("gluing") the Firewheel together (a 50/50 mix of MEK and Toluene - also known as Toluol)
This gives an interesting 3-D, lumpy sort of finish, and becomes a totally integral part of the body of the Firewheel - it will not rub or scratch off, like other paints.
You can obtain these solvents from industrial paint supply places, and most other paint shops should have them as well.
Any styrene-based plastic will do the job.
Safety Warning!
• Make sure you do not breath these solvents, and it is best done outside, with a fan blowing the fumes away from you.
• Use small glass jars with metal lids, or small metal tins to mix the paint in, and ensure the lids are on tightly when not in use.
We are planning to put up other camo themes, such as desert, marine, bush, etc, and if there is enough interest we would be able to supply simple kits with pieces of the appropriate coloured ABS plastic in separate pockets, for a particular camo theme.
Unfortunately we would not be able to supply the solvent through the mail. |

Girls, you should get in on this too !
Have a look in those sewing baskets, and check out the sewing supplies shops, hobby shops, and the like, and see what you can come up with.
Just think of the tactical advantage you will get over the boys in those lounge room and office wars.
When they see a pink, lacey machine gun confronting them, they will be rolling around on the floor laughing, and will be easy pickings.
The Cyanoacrylate instant adhesives such as Loctite 401 are very good for sticking things to your Firewheel, and give a permanent result. |

| Tactical Flashlight Mod |
Mike Thomas from Stir Advertising in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in the US sent this one in.
They are into some serious night skirmishing - or maybe they just turn off the lights and pull the blinds down. |
